Gerações da Tahla NaTahla Palhete 2022 - 12.5%

This a traditional "Tahla Wine" from Alentejo. Tahla are large clay vessels and wine has traditionally been made in them locally for over 2000 years. The grapes are partly destemmed and fermented in the Tahla. This is a "field blend" that includes red and white skinned grapes which are harvested and fermented together resulting in what is kind of an orange wine/rose cross.

Fresh and light but with relatively light easy acidity. Mix between citrus fruits and some berry fruits too with a light thirst-quenching tannin.

Gerações da Tahla are a family winery in Alentejo, Portugal. Located in Vila de Frades, considered the "capital" of "Tahla Wine" and dating from the 18th century, the tradition and art of the wine has been passed down multiple generations now.
