A much more "grown-up" table white then the label might lead you to think. Really well done and great value.
Biodynamically grown grapes of mixed varieities native to the region (Veneto). Some are known, others not so much.
The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks; ages for at least 6 months in the same fermentation containers, and it is bottled unfiltered with a small addition of sulfur.
According to Marco and the Barbaboyz, Barbabianca is synonymous with “beva” (which means “easy drink”). The ideal wine for aperitifs and fish-based dinners shared with friends. To pair with gratinated scallops or a plate of pasta with savory sardine-sauce.
"Ingredients: grapes and terroir. As simple as it is good."
Marco started out as a carpenter and farmer. In 2015 he returned to his native Veneto and started working with his friend Stefano Menti at his father winery "Menti" wines. Meanwhile Macro started tending the vines of various abandoned plots of local elderly widows etc. He farms the plots biodynamically and makes really fun yet refined local styles featuring literal "field blends" - since no one really knows for sure the names all of the many different old local varieties in the adopted plots. Importantly the wines are really no-nonse genuine wines expressing the local character and much more mature then one might first assume.
